- Hours
- Full time, about 160 hours a month per engineer, with 3–4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern and CET, and a full afternoon with Sydney and Melbourne.
- Commitment
- A 3-month minimum, then month to month with 30 days' notice.
- First two weeks
- If an engineer isn't the right fit, you can end that seat with no charge for the remaining days. We'll propose a replacement when we have the right person, and you decide whether to take them.
- If an engineer leaves
- You hear as soon as we know — engineers here typically give 30–60 days' notice, so there is usually time to plan. We start finding a replacement immediately. Your tech lead covers critical work in the gap. The handover overlap with the new engineer is never billed, and if you'd rather not take the replacement, you can drop the seat without the usual notice period.
- Billing
- Invoiced on the 1st, due on the 15th of the same month, in USD by international bank transfer. The first month is pro-rated.
- Who directs the work
- You set priorities and own the backlog and the dates. Because the dates are yours, the late-delivery credit on our fixed-price work does not apply to a dedicated team.
- What's yours
- Code, infrastructure and documentation are assigned to you on payment unless we agree otherwise in writing, and code lives in your repository unless you ask otherwise.
- Non-solicitation
- You don't hire our engineers directly for 12 months after they work with you, or you pay the conversion fee set in the contract.
